similar

In the days of yore, there existed an olde worlde technique, called 'painting' It required a brush, or several, water, paint and some dexterity with mixing and application. Astonishingly there was no command z. Here is one such example, found in a cave, somewhere in olde englande..
There are certain similarities in the appearance of the the two young ladies and perhaps the non-existance of the command z explains this strange occurence, although the relationship between them and the candy floss is, altogether more difficult to comprehend, and cannot altogether be explained by the lack of the aforementioned command.

Yes, the similarity between coiffure and confectionery is uncanny, isn't it?

I am familiar with the processes you describe. Mine involve paint in tubes deposited on a palette (OK it's an old plate really) and then selectively applied to a piece of paper by means of a brush. It seems that you, too, have heard of such follies, though they appear to be the product of a bygone era. Yet the casual observer seems not to comprehend that I use watercolour for my cross-hatching ...

Love this illustration! The colors are great - it really caught my eye while I was scrolling through your blog. It would be so funny to have this scene going on in real life at a state fair. I wonder how people would react. Thanks for the giggle.
