Rambunctious
Ram- bunctious! Geddit! This is a job which would have been fun to do except the pay, it would have left me homeless and my poor wee children eating gruel for the foreseeable future! So I declined, and the children still are able to have an extra dish of sweet nourishing gruel every other Thursday! (Still have home though!)
[Note to myself-must find out exactly what gruel is one day...]

similar
In the days of yore, there existed an olde worlde technique, called 'painting' It required a brush, or several, water, paint and some dexterity with mixing and application. Astonishingly there was no command z. Here is one such example, found in a cave, somewhere in olde englande..
There are certain similarities in the appearance of the the two young ladies and perhaps the non-existance of the command z explains this strange occurence, although the relationship between them and the candy floss is, altogether more difficult to comprehend, and cannot altogether be explained by the lack of the aforementioned command.

Memories eh? Whenever I hear the phrase "that's something that i'll never forget," it rings as hollow as a bell. This is for the woman who used to be my Mum, and still occasionally is.

poof
Well, somehow, and i'm not quite sure how, I managed to resist the obvious charms of the word and mid stream this drawing popped out. I'm never quite sure how this happens, but I tend to go with it and trust my arm knows what it is doing, while I go and make a cup of tea. Or coffee. Just so long as the arm does its stuff and is finished by the time I get back. Thus is an artwork made. Another amazing but true story!

sour
Well, heres my late night Sunday effort. Partly art directed by my daughter aged 2&1/2 who told me to put the bloke at the back in twice. We've just been finger painting which was great. We did a pretty good duck and then she covered it with black paint, and when I complained, she looked at me in astonishment and told me it had gone to sleep. Foolish daddy! Anyway, I digress....

fierce
This is really a preview of a time, not long from now when the winds blow hard and much rain, sun, cold and who knows what else come to visit us in the form of global warming. Still, i'm sure that our leaders, aware of the situation will come to their senses and rescue the planet. (What does a hollow laugh sound like????)

Paxman... Pucman
Here is an example of a fiendishly difficult illustration. It's my own fault. The article was about computer games and tv talent and there was a bit about Jeremy Paxman. My brain went into overdrive and thought Paxman-pucman! Great idea! However.... Mr Paxman has a long thin face and Pucman is a bright yellow circle with a chunk missing for a mouth. Hence the sweat and tears poured into this illustration!

Fashion
I love seeing the yoof of today with their pants down, it reminds me that we were all young once. Actually it reminds me of my flourescent pink and black tiger-striped skin-tight punk troosers. Ahh sweet memories. Blue and red hair. Mmmmm.... Hair. Mmm.... sweet memories...

chocolate elf!
Here's a great project that has got stuck in limbo-land while Aryhnn is doing her masters degree. It's a piano-teaching-book involving lots of chocolate themes. It's been tried out on lots of children and loved, but publishers seem stuck in the past. It's by Aryhnn Dercy, I think its great. Try it out!

Rua do Ceuta
I Just thought every blog should have a bit of poetry and what better than a Brasilian poem?
Rua do ceuta, 88
velhinha louca
pela rua
sua sombrinha
seu avental de cozinha
gritando palavras incompreensíveis
como receitas de bolo
